57th street, just south of Central Park in New York City, is also known as "Billionaires' Row" due to the record-breaking real estate prices its new buildings command.
I set out on an autumn evening to capture the skyline of Billionaires' Row from Central Park, amid the warm glow of fall foliage illuminated by the park's streetlights. Low-hanging clouds were rapidly streaking across the sky, which led to a very pleasing backdrop when long-exposure shutter speeds were used. The warmth and sharpness of the autumn foliage provided a nice contrast to the cooler hues and subtly of the sky. Between these two elements were hundreds of the most expensive homes in the world and so the large-format technique seemed fitting to capture the most intimate of details them all.
