Few skylines in the world are as impressive as New York's. But how do you capture the entirety of it, from downtown all the way to uptown, in a single photo that can be easily displayed?
I went over to the Hudson River waterfront in Hoboken, New Jersey on a gorgeous spring evening and as the setting sun illuminated the buildings, the sky turned a beautiful palette of pastel colors, replete with wispy clouds. Taking dozens of photos, I captured the entire Manhattan skyline from 100th street down to Battery Park. The resulting image from stitching them all together is extremely wide and therefore not conducive to displaying on normal-sized walls, so I wrapped the skyline up into a circle to succinctly convey, in a more easily-consumed form, the grandeur, variety, and energy of the city.
